Technology Education Curriculum
Advisor: Scott Calahan, Professor (509) 963-3218
In addition to the University’s General Education requirements and Department of Education requirements, students must complete the following course work. It should be noted that many courses require prerequisites. It is imperative that each student meets with his or her faculty advisor each quarter prior to registration. Note that there are two degree options available; the Technology Education Broad Area major, and the Technology Education major.
This bachelor of science teaching major satisfies the endorsement for Technology Education (5-12). The technology education program prepares you to teach technology based courses at the middle school and high school levels. Students selecting this major must also complete CHEM 111, MATH 153, and PHYS 111, as well as the professional education program requirements. This major requires students to also earn a minor in a field commonly taught in the public schools. Courses Required for Entrance
