  • Making Applying Easy

    Applying to Central Washington University

To be accepted into a College of Business major, you first have to be accepted into Central Washington University! Please click on the link above to go to the CWU Admissions webpage for more information.

Applying to the College of Business

For incoming CWU students, please select the major program you are interested in on the direct admission section of your CWU application. For current CWU students, please email us at CBAdvising@cwu.edu from your CWU email and include your full name, student ID#, and major(s) you would like to declare.

You will then be assigned as a "pre-major" status and added to the "CB Major Application" Canvas page to finalize your major application. Note: For incoming CWU students, our office will reach out when the CB Major Application Canvas page is updated and ready for new students. This is typically a few months before your start term - please feel free to contact us if you have any questions in the meantime.

Admission to CWU - Transfer Student Requirements

  • Business Transfer MAPs

Transfer MAPs (Major Academic Pathways) are planning documents that help prospective transfer students considering a specific CWU major answer the essential questions that many transfers ask:

    • What courses do I need to take prior to transferring?
    • What locations or modalities is this program available in?
    • How much will it cost?
    • How long will it take?
    • Who can I contact for further information?

Visit our Transfer MAPs webpage to view our Major Academic Pathways. These documents do not replace the important role of community college and CWU academic advisors, but often answer the most frequently asked questions from prospective students.

  • Determine If Your Courses Will Transfer

The transfer equivalency site (TES) can help you better understand how your courses will transfer to CWU.

If you are currently pursuing a degree at a Washington community college, we recommend the Associates in Business MRP/DTA. This goes by different names at different schools, if you need assistance in verifying you are enrolled in a transferable program, please email us with the school you are attending and we would be happy to check for you.

If you would like an unofficial evaluation of your transfer credit and how it may apply to a College of Business program, please send copies of your unofficial transcripts for all colleges and universities attended to our email.
