Wildcat Pantry
Get Invloved
Interested in joining the fight against food insecurity? Volunteer with one of our programs to end hunger.
The main responsibilities include pantry maintenance and assisting shoppers with check-in/out procedures. Volunteers are encouraged to study, read, and keep themselves busy during downtime.
If volunteering for a class, please contact the Wildcat Pantry Coordinator through the email: wildcatpantry@cwu.edu for forms to be completed.
NOTE: Training is required and does not count towards volunteer hours. ALL shifts are in one-hour increments.
How do I Volunteer?
Follow steps below to join our team of volunteers.
- Check the Wildcat Pantry Instagram (@CWUwildcatpantry) or website for upcoming volunteer training dates. You will be required to attend training before signing up for volunteer shifts.
- Once you have completed training you will be added to the Volunteering Teams channel and access to our sign-up sheet for specific time slots on our calendar.
- Sign-up and attend your first shift.
- The Wildcat Pantry encourages on-the-job training, so volunteers have time to ask questions and learn about pantry protocols and food safety within the space.
- Our staff is dedicated to fostering a safe environment. If there are any questions, comments or concerns, please reach out to the Wildcat Pantry Coordinator through wildcatpantry@cwu.edu.
