Our Craft Brewing Students

Our Majors, Minors, and Certificate students all do hands-on brewing projects, ranging from comparing ale fermentation temperatures, varieties of wild yeasts, to culture conditions of kombuchas and mead-beer hybrids.  Their project work can be found on our student Practicum website: https://cwucraftbrewing.org/

CWU is ideally located in the heart of the nation's hop country and with our industry connections to enrich your experience, student internships with industry leaders, and hands-on brewing experience, you will be well-prepared for entering the growing field of craft brewing.  Nearly all of our Craft Brewing classes are open to all CWU students, regardless of their major.

Graduates of the Bachelor of Science Degree, Minor, and Craft Brewing Certificate are diverse and hail from around the world. Graduates work at local/regional breweries in production and head brewer positions as well as in research, marketing, and development positions in the hops and brewing industries.
