Appealing Process

An official appeal form must be submitted to Parking Services within 15 calendar days from the date the citation was issued. You may appeal these citations Online.

If you are having problems completing the online appeal form, please contact our office at 509-963-2667.

For extenuating circumstances, such as a car or medical issues, it is your responsibility to provide proof of the circumstances when submitting your appeal.

  • The parking appeals are reviewed by the CWU Parking Appeals Board. The Board is made up of Faculty, Civil Service staff, and Student members. If you would like to attend the appeal meeting please contact the parking office after you receive your email confirmation of the appeal. It is not required to be present.
  • If you do not agree with the decision of the CWU Parking Appeals Board, you have the option to re-appeal your violation to the Kittitas County Lower District Court. Re-appeal forms must be completed within 10 days of the date on the letter of the CWU appeal result notification.
  • Kittitas County Lower District Court appeal forms can be completed at the University Police & Public Safety building.

Parking citations are issued for violation of established CWU parking regulations. An appeal must be based on the premise that the citation was not consistent with CWU parking regulations, or that special extenuating circumstances exist that should excuse the appellant from compliance with these regulations.

Forms may only be submitted online.
