Unique Contribution Scholarship

The Department of Theatre Arts at Central Washington University is offering one "Unique Contribution" Scholarship for incoming, undergraduate students interested in a theatre major at Central Washington University. This scholarship is made possible through a generous gift from CWU Dining Services.

The following criteria and constituents will be considered

  • Any applicant who offers a unique perspective, talent, life experience, or cultural background that might in some way contribute to the diversification of the CWU Theatre Department.
  • Preference will be given to applicants wishing admission to any of the three BFA Theatre Majors at CWU (Performance, Musical Theatre Performance or Design and Production), but all applicants wishing to pursue any Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in theatre at CWU will be considered. All applicants are welcome including applicants from traditionally undeserved populations.
  • Apply via the Theatre Arts Scholarship application. Applicants applying for this award must also include a 200 word statement of purpose that identifies how the applicant's unique perspective, talent, life experience or cultural background might contribute to the diversification of CWU and prepare him or her to make valuable contributions to the Department of Theatre Arts and the field of theatre arts in general while identifying the applicant's career goals.
