What is STEP?

STEP builds a foundation in scientific research and writing to launch students on second-year research, teaching, or engineering experience:

• Gain valuable scientific skills
• Participate in faculty-mentored research and teaching experiences 
• Build a foundation for your STEM major with ongoing academic and social support
• Take specially designed courses for the STEP cohort
• Contribute to a like-minded community 
• Live in the STEP Living Learning Community (optional)
