Peer Mentoring

The CWU Running Start Peer Mentors are students who have participated in the Running Start program at Central Washington University and serve as a resource, a helping hand, a sounding board, and a referral service. They provide support, encouragement, and information to Running Start students in their first year of the program. One of the great things about Running Start Peer Mentors is that they have participated in the Running Start program at CWU and can give advice about navigating college life, overcoming challenges, and help new students find success in the program.

Running Start Peer Mentors also host monthly events geared toward providing Running Start students with an opportunity to connect with other students and engage in the social life of the university, write the monthly newsletter for Running Start students, and can help students schedule advising appointments or connect with other services on campus.

Interested in chatting with a mentor? Email runningstart3@cwu.edu and a peer mentor will be happy to contact you.
