Preparing Your SOURCE Project Registration

Review the information below to prepare your SOURCE Project Registration form.

The information you submit in your Project Registration form will help us develop the program that will be published “as-is” in the SOURCE Proceedings and included in the Library of Congress. That means what you submit will be printed exactly as you typed it. Please ensure you carefully review your abstract and other registration materials with your mentor prior to submission so mistakes don’t get published! Many of the registration questions require specific formatting and/or have additional explanations to guide your response. Please read each question carefully before responding.

SOURCE 2026 Project Registration is open March 1 – April 15, 2026 at 11:59pm.

IMPORTANT REQUIRED MATERIALS:

Required Information

Please have the following required information ready to go prior to submitting your project for SOURCE: Detailed Registration Question Guide

  • Your name, CWU ID number, and CWU email address
  • All collaborator’s names (names as entered will be used for the published program and presenter name tags)
  • Your CWU mentor’s name and email address (additional mentor names and affiliation if applicable)
  • Project title (and abbreviated title if full title is over 70 characters in length)
  • Your abstract, artist statement or project description (250 words or fewer; any submissions exceeding this limit will be cut off after 250 words.) More information on how to prepare your abstract here.
  • 1-5 keywords for your project
  • Details about your project including college/department affiliation, presentation format, funding sources, etc.
  • Approval from the Human Subjects Review Council (HSRC), Institutional Animal Care of Use Committee (IACUC), or a completed Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for hazardous materials if applicable.
    • You can register your project for SOURCE even if you are still in the process of HSRC or IACUC approval. However, you MUST have appropriate approvals and certifications BEFORE you interact with humans or animals.

Check in with your mentor and proofread ALL your responses BEFORE YOU SUBMIT!

  • Mentor Approval Required PRIOR TO SUBMISSION: Your mentor must approve your submission before you are officially registered to present at SOURCE. They will need to sign and complete the Mentor Approval Form document (linked above) to be uploaded with your project registration submission. If the approval form is not complete at the time of upload, your project will be rejected by the SOURCE Team.
  • If you notice a mistake in your submission in any way, DO NOT SUBMIT A DUPLICATE REGISTRATION; "Reply All" to your submission confirmation email immediately with the issue(s) you would like corrected (make sure that source@cwu.edu is in the "To:" line). If you are editing your project title or abstract, make sure your mentor is copied to this email so they can confirm their approval of these changes. The SOURCE team will not be able to accommodate requests past 5pm on April 21, 2026.
