Primate Behavior

Primate Awareness Network

Student organized and ran club at CWU dedicated to all things primate!

The Primate Awareness Network (PAN) is a student organization focused on educating the public about the impact humans have on non-human primates. This impact is both direct (e.g., bushmeat, logging, biomedical research, and exploitation through entertainment) and indirect (e.g., supporting particular logging companies, palm oil production, and entertainment companies). Funds raised through the efforts of club members are used to support conservation and/or sanctuary organizations, finance public awareness campaigns, and for travel expenses to primatological and anthropological conferences.

Membership is open to CWU students, faculty, and staff as well as those from the broader Ellensburg community. New members are always welcome.
