Declaring Major
Prospective Majors
If you would like more information about majoring or minoring in philosophy or minoring in comparative religion, please contact the Department Chair, Dr. Matt Altman. You may also click on the link below to submit a request to have an advisor contact you directly with more information about our majors.
Ready to Declare the Major
There are two ways you can declare your major:
- Set up an appointment with an advisor you've had a class with or one whose area of specialization is closest to your interests. Visit our Faculty and Staff page to see our available advisors. At this appointment you'll complete a simple major application form and review coursework required for the major. Your advisor can also discuss skills acquired in the major, career opportunities as well as answer any questions you may have.
- Alternatively, you can log into your MyCWU account and declare it through your student dashboard.
