Innovation Through AI Minor/Certificate


The Innovation through AI minor/certificate introduces students to the practical use of artificial intelligence tools and concepts to solve problems, improve systems, and drive innovation in a variety of industries. This program focuses on helping students understand how AI can enhance decision-making, streamline operations, and support creative thinking.

Students explore how AI technologies such as machine learning, automation, and intelligent systems are transforming the workplace. This curriculum is designed to help students apply AI in meaningful ways, regardless of their primary field of study. 

This minor is ideal for students in education, communication, business, technology, or any discipline where AI is shaping the future of work and learning.

  • IT 165: Seeing Through the Data - 4 credits
  • IT 202: Change Ready: Tech Skills for Leaders - 4 credits
  • IT 248: Foundations of Digital Environments - 4 credits
  • IT 301: Info Tech Security, Privacy, and Ethics - 4 credits 
  • IT 305: AI Tools for IT Managers - 4 credits
  • IT 486: Critical Issues in IT - 4 credits
