  • Intercollegiate Athletic Director: As an athletic director, you would be responsible for overseeing the overall athletic program at a college or university.
  • Ticket Sales: In a ticket sales role, you would focus on selling tickets for sporting events. This can involve developing sales strategies and maximizing ticket revenue.

CWU’s Sports Management program is the home of the Northwest Center for Sports, which provides experiential opportunities and networking for students wanting to enter the sports management field. The center hosts conferences, guest speakers, and field trips designed to spotlight sports industry career opportunities.

Specializations Catered to Your Interests

Students in CWU’s Sports Management degree program have the choice of six specialization areas, including Sports Coaching, Sports Business, Sports Events, Sports Law, Sport Communication, and Recreation Management.

Alumni Doing Bigger, Better Things

2019 graduate, Chaz McKenzie, studied Sport Management at CWU, as well as Business and Marketing. He is now the Northeast Area Scout for the Denver Broncos Football Club.

Risa Shigeto graduated from CWU in 2022, receiving a degree in Sport Management. She is now working for the Arizona Diamondbacks as the Suites and Premium Hospitality Account Executive.

Austin Paradis, a 2019 graduate, earned a degree in the Sports Business Specialization. He is now the Manager of Field and Grounds at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego.
