Study Russian History
Enrich your education by integrating historical perspectives with language and cultural studies, utilizing our partnership with the History Department. This allows Russian history courses to count towards your Russian major.
Cultural Assignments
Learn culture through language in a small classes that emphasize communication skills and cultural competence with authentic cultural materials and diverse cultural traditions, such as Christmas caroling traditions in Belarus, Ukraine and Russia; or Central Asian food and culture
The Art of Protest
"The Art of Protest: Censorship and Resistance in Russian Cultures" course lets you explore various strategies of resistance and freedom used by artists and intellectuals from the 19th to the 21st centuries.
