Degree Options

The Small Plan (45-credit) requires students to complete a minor or a second major in some other subject. The small plan is intended for students interested in combining a background in psychology with fields such as social work, family studies, business, law and justice, primate behavior, and other fields in which training in behavioral science would be useful.

The Large Plan (60-credit) leads to a bachelor’s degree without a minor or second major. It is recommended for students interested in pursuing graduate studies in psychology.

  • Mental Health Counselor: Mental Health Counselors provide therapeutic counseling services to individuals, couples, and families. You will use evidence-based approaches to help clients develop coping strategies, improve emotional well-being, and enhance their overall quality of life.
  • Social Worker: Social Workers support and advocate for people and families facing various issues, such as poverty, mental health concerns, child welfare, domestic violence, or substance abuse. You could work in schools, healthcare settings, social service agencies, or community organizations.
  • Human Resource Specialist: As a Human Resource Specialist, you will manage various aspects of employee management, including recruitment, hiring, training, benefits administration, employee relations, and policy implementation.
