Our MS program is designed to serve two groups: (1) those in law and justice fields with professional experience, and (2) those without professional experience who aspire to law and justice careers, including research and data analysis.

Lean Into Research
Among others, we focus on the concept of research-based practices in criminal justice, criminology, law, social justice, and public policy. Courses are designed to provide you with an advanced understanding of research and how it informs best practices.

Core program requirements delve into fundamental theories of crime and justice as well as sharpening skills in data analysis.
Admissions Requirements
To apply for admission to the Master of Science in Law and Justice program, you’ll need to provide the following:
- A personal statement explaining why you’re pursuing a Master of Science in Law and Justice and what inspires your interest in the field.
- A copy of your undergraduate transcripts.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Email addresses for three individuals who can write letters of recommendation on your behalf. We encourage you to include at least two professors, and your third letter can come from someone who knows you well in a professional or community setting—such as a supervisor, mentor, or faith leader.
- Optional: You’re welcome to include a copy of your résumé if you’d like to share additional context about your experience.
