Why Study Global Wine Studies at CWU?

CWU is located in the heart of a major wine-producing region, the Yakima Valley and greater Seattle area.

This means you have unique opportunities for real-world experiences. Field trips, internships, and interactions with industry professionals are integral parts of our program, providing opportunities for you to engage directly with the global wine industry.

“We have some great winemaking and viticulture programs in Washington, but what needed to be addressed was how to get the products to market,” Program Director Jill Perillo Clark said. “I like to think we have built our own little niche at Central with our focus on the business side, and I feel really good about our program being able to address a growing need in our state.”
