Chemistry Teaching Program
Adding a STEM Teaching program Minor to the BA will prepare students to teach chemistry at the high school level. The course work provides experiences in chemistry content and pedagogy including field experiences and addresses the Washington State competencies for Chemistry Teachers.
Students completing this major are required to demonstrate proficiency through a program portfolio prior to student teaching. Students who complete this major and receive a passing score on the NES exam for Chemistry will receive a WA State Chemistry Endorsement.

44 teaching credits + BS/BA in Chemistry. Certified to teach Chemistry in WA.
