Scholarships
Deadline: March 1st of each year.
The Department of Art + Design is pleased to offer a variety of scholarship opportunities, including CWU GSA scholarships, external scholarships, and exclusive Department of Art + Design scholarships designed specifically for Art + Design students. You should go to Scholarship Central to find additional scholarships you might qualify to apply. Scholarship Central.
By completing the Department of Art + Design Scholarship Application, you will be considered for all scholarships in which you qualify. For more information, please feel free to contact the Department.
Please note that any student applying for an award must also fill out a valid FAFSA.

Clymer Museum Scholarship
Amount of award: $2500
Requirements:
a. Enrolled full-time at CWU
b. Must be Art + Design major
c. First year student is preferred
d. Portfolio

John F. Connolly Memorial Scholarship
Amount of award: $500
Requirements:
a. First Year or transfer student admitted to CWU
b. Art + Design major specialization graphic design
c. Portfolio

Charles Berrisford Endowed Art Scholarship
Amount of award: $500 - $1000
Requirements:
a. Must be Art + Design major
b. Enrolled full-time at CWU
c. Demonstrate financial need
d. Portfolio

Louis Kollmeyer Art/Studio Art Scholarship
Amount of award: $1000 - $1500
Requirements:
a. BA or BFA Studio Art major
b. Demonstrate financial need
c. Minimum GPA of 3.0

Donald R. Singleton Endowment for Art Supplies + Materials
Amount of award: variable depending on number of qualified applicants. Approx. $500 - $1000
Requirements:
a. Must be Art + Design major finishing their 2nd quarter of art + design study
b. Demonstrate financial need
c. Minimum Art GPA of 3.0
d. Portfolio
e. Statement of Interest
The Minerva Endowed Scholarship
Amount of award: $1200 - $1500
a. Enrolled full-time at CWU.
b. Must be Art + Design major.
c. Female recipient is preferred.
d. Student must maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA or better.

f. Statement of Interest
Amount of award: $500
Requirements:
a. Must be Art History major or Art History minor
b. Enrolled full-time at CWU
c. Example of student Art History writing. Minimum 300 words.
d. Statement of Interest.
e. Student must maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA or better.

The Scottish Rite Scholarship Foundation of Washington
The Scottish Rite Scholarship Foundation of Washington proudly awards numerous scholarships each year to undergraduate students in the State of Washington. The scholarship is purely merit-based to promote and foster dedicated students on their path to success. https://www.srsfw.org/scholarships
Must attend an NWCCU Baccalaureate accredited 4-year university in the State of Washington
Must be full-time student entering 3rd, 4th or 5th year of college**

C. Farrell Fine Arts and Research Scholarship
This scholarship is available to Sophomore, Junior, and Senior students at Central Washington University who are pursuing a fine arts project in Art, Music, Theatre, or Creative Writing, or who are pursuing a research project pertaining to the History, Geology, Archaeology of Kittitas Valley. This scholarship provides one year of in-state tuition, $200 book allowance, and project costs. Please see their website for more information.
