Individual math tutoring provides a safe space for you to work on your math and friendly tutors to assist you with questions.
Check in anytime, grab a sign from the Learning Commons front desk, sit comfortably at one of our whiteboard tables, and work on your own for as long as you like. If you have a question, a tutor is close by to offer support and help clarify concepts. You can also book a Zoom consultation and have a live video or audio conversation with a CWU math tutor.

Read Answers to Frequently Asked Questions
May I receive help for any math class?
The CWU Math Team supports all general education quantitative reasoning courses, all 100-level math and physics courses, and many other courses that have a mathematical basis. We staff tutors who have expertise in math, physics, and actuarial science. While we can't support all classes on a drop-in basis, we are able to help you connect with a tutor in a certain area.
May I do my math homework in the Learning Commons?
Yes. Check in at the Learning Commons front desk, find a space, and work as long as you like. If you have a question, tutors are always close by and happy to help.
Can a tutor help me with a quiz or test?
As a general rule, no, as this is considered academic dishonesty. However, some professors do allow students to receive help on take-home quizzes. If this is the case, please ask your professor to communicate directly with us, so that we do not violate assignment expectations. Unless we have heard from your professor, we cannot help you with a quiz or test.
Would you like to be a Math Tutor? We are currently hiring math tutors! please feel welcome to email the Interim Math Tutoring Coordinator, Kieran Cook (Kieran.Cook@cwu.edu), to express interest! Or apply through MYCWU job code is 7219.
