Adaptive University Initiative
Being an Adaptive University
An adaptive university continuously evolves its programs, curricula, teaching methods, and infrastructure to meet the changing needs of students, faculty, and staff, and our external communities.
It embraces innovation, flexibility, and inclusivity to provide a relevant and dynamic educational experience. To live into that goal, we must collectively engage in an intentional, ongoing process of self-reflection and build a culture of innovation to meet the needs of all constituencies we serve.
To be successful, we must also strive to be an ambidextrous organization that can effectively balance and integrate both exploration and amplification. We must simultaneously pursue innovative, forward-looking activities to adapt to new conditions and develop new programs and processes, while also sustaining and optimizing current programs and activities to reinforce what already works and enhance what can be improved.
