          Policy


(1) The department of public affairs is the university’s official liaison with local, state and federal elected officials. In order to ensure consistent, accurate, and strategic communications with public policy makers, no CWU employee shall undertake to represent or make representation to a state agency or elected officials or their staff on behalf of the president, the trustees or Central Washington University without the authorization of and coordination with, the department of public affairs.

(2) Quarterly reports to the public disclosure commission per RCW 42.17.190, q.v. are coordinated through the department of public affairs.
