Policy
(1) Central Washington University shall design, construct, operate, and maintain buildings that provide healthy indoor environments and use natural resources efficiently and responsibly.
(2) Accordingly, Central Washington University requires all major new construction and single structure renovation projects over $5 million to achieve LEED Gold minimum certification under the most current version of LEED. All other new construction and renovation work shall incorporate LEED and other sustainable design practices to the greatest extent possible.
(3) Effective for all buildings entering the pre-design planning phase from July 1, 2022.
(4) The Sustainability Coordinator or other designee through the Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration is responsible for this policy.
