Vision
We strive to build the Veteran & Military-Connected Student Center family by exploring innovative ways to improve student success. We will advocate and provide exemplary services that support our students in reaching their educational goals.
Mission
The V&MCSC is dedicated to supporting student veterans, service members, and their families through their educational journey at CWU. We provide outreach to prospective students, assistance in navigating funding options, and programming that builds support and awareness for our community.

Learning Objective
Students that complete the canvas course orientation will better understand how their benefits are processed at CWU:
- Within our V&MCSC canvas course each chapter of benefits will have a presentation and a post quiz to measure the student comprehension – CAS 2.2/knowledge acquisition
Students who interact with the V&MCSC will be guided through the process of seeking financial assistance e.g. VA Education Benefits, Financial Aid, General Scholarship Application:
- We will share information on VA Education Benefits and encourage students to apply if eligible -CAS 2.2 & 8.1
