Here is where students can find information on honors distinctions as well as how they relate to graduation and commencement.

Honors Distinctions
The distinctions are pulled from your cumulative GPA as of winter quarter your graduating year
GPA - Distinctions
3.50-3.69 = Cum Laude
3.70-3.89 = Magna Cum Laude
3.90-4.0 = Summa Cum Laude
Honors Tassel info
In order to qualify for an honors tassel the degree you are completing must be your first undergrad degree here at central, as well as having 45 or more of your credits be from central.
Your CWU winter quarter cumulative GPA is what determines honors status for COMMENCEMENT
If you qualify for an honors tassel you can pick it up at degree checkout in the office of the registrar or at respective alternate campus locations. The same is true if you need to pick up a veterans cord
You can pick up your honors tassels until the last day of finals week.
If you would like an honors tassel post-commencement please contact degree checkout.
In regards to cords and stoles
these will be handed out by individual academic departments clubs or honors societies, please contact them directly.
