Strategic Communications at Central Washington University
The Strategic Communications team develops news and feature content about CWU faculty, staff, students, alumni, programs, and initiatives with a goal of sharing the university’s story with the broader community.
We generate original news and feature content and also help campus partners distribute press releases about events, awards, and newsworthy accomplishments.
In addition to developing news and feature content, the Strategic Communications oversees all CWU media relations activity, working with news organizations to help generate interest in CWU throughout Central Washington and beyond. We also support executive communications from the President’s Office and other high-level administrators, and we partner with CWU Police and Public Safety to disseminate time-sensitive emergency information to the university community.
