Digital accessibility isn’t just a policy—it’s part of how we support access and opportunity for every learner and employee.
Your Role and Responsibility
Digital accessibility is a shared responsibility at CWU. If you create or publish digital materials—such as webpages, emails, documents, videos, or course materials—you play a role in making content accessible.

We offer an introduction to digital accessibility, core concepts, and CWU expectations to help you begin.
2. Required Annual Assessment
Faculty and staff who create or publish digital content must complete the yearly Digital Accessibility Assessment.
3. Testing Tools
Use specialized tools to evaluate and improve the accessibility of your content. These tools identify common accessibility issues and help guide fixes.
We provide practical guides for different content types, including documents, presentations, PDFs, and social media.
