Meet the Publicity Center

The Publicity Center is led by two professional staff members: Rosario Naranjo, Creative Services Manager, and Lexi Wicks, Content & Events Marketing Supervisor. Together, they provide leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction for the talented student team that powers the Publicity Center, better known across campus as HYPE.

While Rosario and Lexi oversee day-to-day operations, marketing strategy, and creative development, the heart of the Publicity Center is its student employees. Every campaign is created by students, for students, ensuring that campus marketing feels authentic, relevant, and engaging to the Central Washington University community.

Working with the Publicity Center means more than receiving a comprehensive marketing campaign for your event or program. It also means investing in experiential learning by providing students with meaningful opportunities to build professional portfolios, gain real-world experience, collaborate with campus partners, and develop the skills they'll carry into their future careers.

Our student team is made up of three specialized groups that work together to bring campus events to life:

  • Marketing Team – Our social media manager, videographer, and writer develop engaging content, tell compelling stories, and connect students with opportunities happening across campus.
  • Graphic Design Team – Designers create eye-catching promotional materials that strengthen campus branding and encourage student participation.
  • Distribution Team – Beyond distributing printed materials across campus, this team helps keep the office running smoothly, supports event logistics, and serves as the HYPE Street Team through tabling, outreach, and other promotional efforts.

Together, our professional staff and student team combine creativity, strategy, and collaboration to help campus events reach, and resonate with, the CWU community.
