Testing and Booster Clinics Offered This Week in the SURC

Welcome back, Wildcats! We hope you had a good spring break and that you are continuing to stay safe. COVID-19 infection rates have been lower in recent weeks, in the Ellensburg community and around the state, and we would like to keep it that way.

CWU will host free testing and booster clinics in the SURC this week.
To help ensure that everyone on campus remains as safe as possible, CWU Student Health Services (SHS) will be offering an on-campus COVID-19 booster shot clinic and three testing clinics this week for students and employees.
Each of the free clinics will be held in the SURC and no appointment is necessary. Clinic dates and times are as follows:
- Booster Clinic - Tuesday, March 29, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., SURC Ballroom
- Testing Clinics - Tuesday-Thursday, March 29-31, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., SURC 137
The on-campus testing clinics are intended for students and employees who are symptom-free and have had close contacts with someone who is COVID-positive. Tests will be available to students on a first-come, first-served basis. Students who are experiencing COVID symptoms should make an appointment at SHS (509-963-1881) weekdays between 8:40 to 10 a.m. and from 3 to 5 p.m.
The March 29 booster clinic is available to anyone who has completed the initial COVID-19 vaccination regimen and would like to increase their protection. CWU strongly recommends getting boosted as the best way to avoid serious health outcomes from contracting COVID.
A number of pharmacies in Ellensburg are providing booster shots by appointment. Find a location near you by using the Washington Department of Health's vaccine locator. Booster shots also will be available to students at SHS on Wednesdays and Thursdays, by appointment, during spring quarter.
Please remember that face coverings are still required inside classrooms and laboratories through at least April 8, approximately two weeks after spring break. Masks are no longer required inside other campus facilities, with the exception of the SHS clinic, public transportation, and university-owned or contracted vans and buses.
Anyone who wishes to continue wearing a mask is free to do so, and we are asked to respect the wishes of those who prefer others to wear a mask in meeting rooms and private offices.
Thank you for doing your part to keep our campus safe. We hope you have a great start to spring quarter!
