State of the University address scheduled for September 29

The Central Washington University community is invited to join President Jim Wohlpart for his annual State of the University address on Friday, September 29, at 10 a.m.

The event in the SURC Ballroom will begin with a social gathering at 9:30 a.m., followed by a brief address by President Wohlpart.

CWU students, faculty, and staff are welcome to attend, and no RSVP is required. For those who cannot be there in person, the address will be livestreamed. For those who cannot be there in person, the address will be livestreamed at cwu.edu/sou.

During next Friday’s address, President Wohlpart will explain how CWU is in the process of building a more welcoming, inclusive learning community that is centered around equity and belonging. He will also talk about the implementation of our new Vision, Mission, and Strategic Plan, which will require us to approach our work differently as we seek to provide our students with ample opportunities to create better futures for themselves.

Through a commitment to our unifying value of student success—as outlined in our new Strategic Plan—President Wohlpart will demonstrate to the CWU community what this one-of-a-kind institution is capable of, both now and in the future.
