Nearly completed building hosts state-of-the-art facilities

Students who don’t have the most genetically gifted vision finally have a lecture hall for them.

Science II, which opens in the fall to Central Washington University students, features an 80-seat planetarium, an anechoic chamber, a dedicated ice core sample cooler and a 120-seat lecture hall that features four TVs and two projectors to display lecture material and make sure everyone has a good seat.

“Class is in session,” architect Lathan Wedin said, as he pressed a button, lowering the TVs and projectors from their slots in the ceiling.
