Join President Wohlpart on Nov. 4 for the State of the University address and group discussion about the CWU Strategic Plan.

During last year's State of the University address, I shared my goal of supporting Central Washington University in our journey toward becoming a learning organization that is dedicated to collaborative and inclusive decision-making, shared governance, and a collective sense of responsibility in the work we do. On Friday, November 4, from 9-9:30 a.m., I will provide an update on our progress at the next State of the University address.

Additionally, we will use this opportunity to take the next important step in developing our values and our Strategic Plan. After the address, from 9:30-10:30 a.m., we will review the draft values and Strategic Plan framework that the Steering Committee will develop from the feedback we are receiving from the university community from Phase I of this process. At this point, 45 groups have requested Strategic Plan Task Packets from Dania Cochran (if your office or department has not yet done this, please note the packets for Phase I are due Wednesday, October 19).

Your participation as a faculty or staff member, or as a student, is essential for this process to be successful. Please accept this as your personal invitation to join a community-wide conversation about who CWU is and, more importantly, who we would like to become. To reserve your space for the State of the University address and the Values and Strategic Plan review, please visit Wildcat Tickets as soon as possible.

Thank you for your dedication to helping make CWU a model learning community of equity and belonging. I look forward to working with each of you to create a strong and vibrant future for Central Washington University that is committed to the success of every student.

Sincerely,

Jim Wohlpart
President
