Fashion Blog Features Stylist Who Got Her Start at CWU

  • August 25, 2014

Los Angeles-based celebrity wardrobe stylist and CWU alumna Melissa Triber was featured this month on the style blog Tomboy KC. Triber began her fashion career after earning a bachelor's degree in fashion merchandising from CWU.

She's worked at magazines such as Bello, Filter, Los Angeles Confidential, and The Hollywood Reporter. She's worked with brands such as Disney, Hewlett Packard, and HarperCollins Publishers, and labels such as Hollywood Records and Universal Records.

Among the celebrities Triber has styled are Anna Kendrick, Demi Lovato, Joe Manganiello, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Mindy Kaling, Rebel Wilson, Justin Bartha, Josh Hutcherson, and Charles Michael Davis.

The Tomboy KC blog, by actor Katie Cassidy and friend Lynsey Eaton, is inspired by their tomboy-meets-chic personal style. They first met Triber on a magazine shoot and later sought her out for the blog profile:

"We first met Melissa Triber on the set of Katie’s shoot with Institute Magazine. After seeing the images that came out of that day (the styling was amazing), we couldn’t help but track Melissa down and force her to give us her deets. A Los Angeles based wardrobe stylist who claims she sort of stumbled into the profession, Melissa is as humble as she is talented – both reasons why we are obsessed with her. And while she may downplay her successes, we won’t. Subtlety was never our forte."
