Understanding FERPA and Reporting


The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a federal law that ensures students educational records are kept confidential and permits student access to their records.

This course teaches employees their responsibilities under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and as a mandatory reporter at CWU, including how to protect student records and when and how to report concerns using the Concern and Support form.
