CWU Music Department to host PianoFest October 23-25

The Central Washington University Music Department will be hosting a special event next week in the McIntyre Music Building, and members of the CWU and Ellensburg communities are invited to attend.
CWU PianoFest will begin at noon Thursday, October 23, with a Yamaha Disklavier Workshop in the Recital Hall, followed by a CWU-Stanford Piano Masterclass with Disklavier at 2 p.m., also in the Recital Hall.
An improvisation workshop with distinctive artists and educators Nahre Sol, Tina Chong, Alex Peh will take place Friday, October 24, at 1 p.m. in the choir room, followed by a 7 p.m. guest performance in the Concert Hall, featuring Sol, Chong, and Peh.
PianoFest will conclude Saturday, October 25, with an all-day competition that showcases pre-college and collegiate pianists from all over the Northwest. The PianoFest Winner's Concert will be held at 5:30 p.m. in the Concert Hall.
