Spring edition of Crimson & Black magazine is now available

If you’ve checked your mailbox lately, you have probably come across the latest issue of Crimson & Black magazine.

Magazine cover

The spring 2024 edition of CWU’s signature publication — produced by University Relations and University Advancement — was delivered to thousands of mailing addresses the week of June 10. Additional copies will also be distributed across the Ellensburg campus over the next week, so keep an eye out.

The 50-page publication is chock full of in-depth stories about CWU programs, students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community partners. In case you haven’t seen a hard copy of the magazine yet, the stories are posted at cwucrimsonandblack.com. A downloadable PDF version is also available (click on "Archives" and "Spring 2024" to find the link).

Here’s a snapshot of what you’ll find:

  • Many CWU alumni are demonstrating the value of cultural wealth, choosing to build up their communities over accumulating financial wealth.
  • CWU’s College in the High School program has grown to more than 155 partnered high schools, serving more than 10,000 students statewide.
  • The CWU Department of Music has developed a rich tradition of training some of the best performers and music educators in the Northwest.
  • Central’s one-of-a-kind Craft Brewing program has built a reputation across the region for preparing well-rounded professionals who are ready to contribute right away.
  • A growing number of alumni athletes are taking their skills to the professional level. Read about where they are today and how CWU helped prepare them for success.
  • Keith Lewis, a Distinguished Professor of Jewelry, Metals and Design, continues to make a positive impact on the LGBTQ+ community and his students with his influential work.

And there’s more where that came from, too!

We hope you enjoy the latest edition of Crimson & Black, and we’d love to hear what you think. Feel free to email comments or suggestions to editor@cwucrimsonandblack.com.

We are beginning to work on the fall 2024 edition now, so we’ll see you again in November. Thanks for your support, and happy reading.
