Calling all Move-In Day Volunteers!
Movers & Shakers is back for Fall 2024 Move-In. Join us for a fun and exciting day!
Details on Volunteering
Returning students, faculty, staff, and the community are invited to assist with this effort. We need your help, and your presence provides a warm welcome for our new, incoming students.
Returning students that will be living in a residence hall for the Fall 2024 quarter may be eligible to move in on Wednesday, September 18 so that they can work their volunteer shift. If you will be living in a CWU residence hall, please indicate that in your volunteer form.
Fall 2024 New Student Move-In Days will be Thursday, September 19 and Friday, September 20, 2024.
The Deadline for Movers & Shakers volunteer sign up will be Friday, Sept. 6, 2024.
Movers & Shakers volunteers will be asked to:
- Verbally welcome new students and their families to CWU
- Offer assistance in carrying students' belongings to their residence hall room
- Keeping track of move-in carts and dollys

Individual Sign-Up
We're so excited to have your help in welcoming our new Wildcats to Central!
If you are with a small group (4 members or less), please use the individual sign up form and list the other individuals/department you'd like to volunteer with in the Volunteer Notes section.
Campus and Community Group Sign-Up
Thanks so much to your group for your willingness to help out!
Make sure to indicate a group contact person who will be checking their email for information as we get closer to move-in day. We'll be sending info on our volunteer orientation session, your assigned location and time, and how to check your volunteer group in on move-in day. Group sign up is for 5 or more individuals that wish to volunteer together and is open to campus and community groups. CWU student clubs and organizations that sign up are able to earn volunteer hours for your group members.
