Your support is always welcome and helps to partially fund this annual day-long event. Participation at SOURCE is open to students (undergraduate and graduate), faculty and staff in all academic disciplines. Students present the results of their faculty-mentored research and creative activities by presenting a poster, talk, or performance. SOURCE is patterned after professional meetings, with concurrent morning and afternoon presentations and an awards presentation.

Students, faculty, staff, community members and the institution all benefit from SOURCE:
  • Students gain experience presenting the results of their scholarly activity in a professional environment that prepares them to present at regional or national professional meetings.
  • SOURCE provides a collegial atmosphere for faculty to learn about their colleagues' current research and creative activities, and fosters new faculty collaborations.
  • Community and parental attendance enhances their understanding of the diversity and quality of student, staff, and faculty scholarship at Central.
  • Central has become known, at the state and national level, for its emphasis on undergraduate research, and SOURCE is among the high profile events that demonstrates this commitment.

Attendance and participation at SOURCE is free and is made possible by the generous contributions of time and effort by students, faculty, and staff at Central as well as our community sponsors and judges.
