President's Corner By Corwin King
One of my “gifts” upon taking over as the CWURA President this year was a cache of old newsletters from Jean Putnam. They go back to 1996, when the newsletter was called “The University Circle” and was mimeographed. Reading them was a walk down Memory Lane. There were many names of former faculty members, death notices, lists of new retirees, notes on travel, upcoming programs and retiree trips, and occasional editorials about campus activities.
One thing that has not changed is that the newsletter, and our association, depends on your support. We have several things planned for this year, some old and some new. If you have notices, ideas for trips and programs please let me or one of the other board members know. Whether you’re new to our association or a long-time member, welcome! We hope to see you at our Winter event.
