We can help promote your event!

Planning an event and need a publicity campaign? We'd love to meet with you early in your process! You can check out our packages and submit a request on our Start a Project page, or just contact us to set up a meeting.

Join Our HYPE Event Guide Mailing List

Want to make sure your event is included in the next HYPE Event Guide? Join our mailing list to receive the quarterly submission form as soon as it becomes available. The HYPE Event Guide is the first and most comprehensive look at upcoming campus events each quarter, distributed across campus and residence halls to help students discover what's happening at CWU. Best of all, it's completely free to feature your event—simply submit your event details using the quarterly form, and we'll take it from there!

Mission

The Publicity Center offers a full slate of creative services to promote campus events, programs and departments while providing real world experience to student employees through hands-on skill development, professional mentoring and portfolio development in an agency environment.

Our student-focused CWU Hype team invites students to experience campus life through a variety of student-focused "Hype" platforms including publications, social media, and street team opportunities.

*The Publicity Center consults with University Relations on brand guidelines, and serves as a designee for creating and approving a range of materials. To learn more about CWU's brand platform, visit the CWU Brand website.

Our Purpose

The Publicity Center and CWU Hype engage, inform, and help build connections that cultivate a true sense of belonging for CWU students. To promote an inclusive campus environment, we:

  • Provide a work environment grounded in learning, understanding and growth
  • Seek to recruit and hire staff representative of our diverse student body
  • Encourage dialogue around the meaning implied or conveyed in images and words
  • Work closely with our clients to understand their goals and strive to accurately represent events, programs, and departments
  • Produce work that promotes and reflects a welcoming and inclusive environment
