Political Science Department Office is located in PSYCH 414

The Department provides an opportunity for students to become knowledgeable about the general subject matter of political science, while also offering a variety of courses that provide depth in a student’s area of interest. Flexibility in the selection of courses and student’s program, within a basic common framework, is stressed.

Why Study Political Science at CWU?

The Political Science Department prides itself on its accessibility and its cultivation of student academic development.  In particular, the Department at Central provides the student the advantage of being small enough, in terms of both faculty and class size, for students to receive direct attention and interaction with their professors, while at the same time, large enough to offer a range of different options within the sub-fields of political science. All classes are taught by professors, usually full-time, regular faculty, rather than graduate teaching assistants like at some schools, though adjunct instructors with particular expertise are utilized in some instances. Some students even pursue research projects under the direction of faculty.
