Welcome to the CWU Department of Physics

The CWU Physics Department is a vibrant, innovative, and highly motivated group of faculty and staff with the common goal of providing exceptional educational opportunities in Physics and Astronomy to all of our students. We currently have eight full time faculty, all with active research programs, and will be moving into a new state-of-the-art building with fully equipped teaching and research space in Fall 2016. Whether you are interested in a career in research, education, engineering, biotechnology, science writing, or a host of other STEM careers, there has never been a better time to be a Physics major at CWU. Join us!
