Cycle II: Events and Activities
Wildcat Welcome Weekend -- Mid Sept.
- Wildcat Welcome Weekend is a festival for incoming freshman. There will be games and other activities designed to get new students comfortable with campus and make new friends.
Roommate Mixer --(During Wildcat Welcome Weekend)
- This is a great chance for you to interact with your roommate, and to meet other AUAP roommates. Bond with your roommate as we play fun games followed by cookies and other refreshments.
Seattle Mariners Game-- End of September
- Cheer on your favorite Mariners players as you attend a Mariners Baseball game at Safeco Field
AUAP Day Camping-- Late Sept. - Mid Oct.
- Enjoy nature by camping at one of Washington State's great campgrounds. This is a great opportunity to romp through forests, sit around a campfire, and pend quality time with friends.
Horseback Riding -- Late Sept. - Mid Oct.
- Learn to ride a horse and explore nature on your own trusty steed. Yee-haw!
International Student Welcome Party -- Late Sept. - Early Oct.
- Meet students from all over the world, and enjoy some refreshments as you listen to music from many different countries at the International Student Welcome Party.
Campus Friend Reception--Mid-Oct.
- You will be introduced to your Campus Friend at an ice cream social. This is a great chance to chat \with your new friend and get to know each other
Community Friend Reception--Late Oct.
- You will be introduced to your Community Friends and have a chance to talk with and get to know them at this exciting event.
AUAP Friend Pumpkin Party --Late Oct.
- Celebrate Halloween by carving a scary face into a pumpkin with your Campus or community Friend
Japan Night and Coming of Age Ceremony-- Early Jan.
- Singing, dancing, and sharing pecial moments ith friends are all part of this night when students have a chance to share Japanese culture with their Campus and Community Friends. We also hold the Coming of Age Ceremony on this ngiht to recognize the students that will or have come of age during AUAP.
CWU Friends Farewell Pizza-- Late Jan-Early Feb.
- You will have a chance to invite roommates, Compus and Community Friends, or anyone else that has been a special part of your CWU experience to share in an evening of fun, student entertainment, and pizza. This is an evening designed for you to say goodbye and thank you to all of your CWU Friends.
Farewell Banquet -- Late Jan-Early Feb.
- The final banqueet is for AUAP students and staff only. It is a special time for remembering the good times that we all shared. There will be a formal dinner, followed by a closing ceremony with speeches, entertainment, and the presentation of certificates.
