Our Theatre BFA program prepares you with the skills, knowledge, and artistic versatility to pursue successful careers in the performing arts industry.

  • Set Designer: Prop and set design courses will give you the skills you need to succeed as a set designer, creating visually captivating sets for theatrical productions and collaborating with directors to bring artistic concepts to life.
  • Sound Designer: You could pursue a career as a sound designer, responsible for executing the sound elements of a production. You will design sound effects, music cues, and amplification to enhance the overall production quality.
  • Technical Director: You can work as a technical director, managing technical crews, coordinating with designers, and ensuring the smooth execution of technical elements during rehearsals and performances.

Production Begins Here, With You

The Central Theatre Ensemble, the production wing of the Theatre Arts Department, produces several shows each season, both on the main stage and in a studio (workshop) setting. Among the main stage offerings each year are a variety of performances including the annual musical theatre production. 2023 featured the Broadway darling “Into the Woods.”
