Active Teaching Classrooms
Samuelson 129, 131
Active learning instruction, defined as a practice that “engages students in the process of learning through activities and/or discussion in class, as opposed to passively listening to an expert,” is known to be more effective than traditional lecturing for student learning. Multimodal's Active Learning Classrooms (ALCs) are reserved for faculty who will use them as a teaching laboratory to expand their pedagogical skill-set and enhance student learning.
