Get Involved
Volunteer at the Farm!
Sign-up for work parties and special events through the SLICE! Work parties are held throughout the quarter, and signing up with the Student Leadership, Involvement, and Community Engagement office allows you to get recorded service hours that can go towards academic, athletic, or club/organization requirements.
Follow us on Instagram or Facebook to keep updated on events and activities!
Some examples of volunteer tasks:
- Planting seeds and starts
- Weeding
- Applying compost or organic soil amendments
- Setting up new projects
- Building compost piles
- Organizing or cleaning farm tools
Volunteers can expect to assist with a variety of tasks. There is always something new to learn!
What should I bring?
When volunteering, we recommend that you bring:
- Gloves - if you have them
- Water
- Snacks - if you need them
- Closed-toe shoes
- Clothing appropriate for the weather
Academic Involvement
Education and collaborations with Academic and Student Life are integral to our mission. We are an outdoor classroom and living laboratory. If you are interested in bringing your class or group for a tour or community service day, or if you would like to conduct research on the Farm, please contact the Farm Manager.
