The Early Childhood Learning Center serves children ages 4 weeks to 12 years old.

If you are a student of Central Washington University enrolled in 6 credits or more, or you are a faculty/staff member of CWU, you may apply to enroll in our program by adding your child to the waitlist below.

Adding your child to the waitlist is the first step to becoming a member of the ECLC family!

The Early Childhood Learning Center Philosophy

The Early Childhood Learning Center strives to ensure that everyone is a learner and learning is worth the risk. We believe in teaching to the whole child by planning for all areas of a child’s development and education. We plan for all areas of a child’s developmental and educational needs cognitive, social-emotional, creative, and physical development. Individuality is acknowledged and respected as each child explores a child-centered environment at her or his own pace. We believe that parent involvement positively reinforces each child’s family and culture.

Our Open Door Policy

We do not limit access to our services or to your children. You may visit and observe at any time, as well as drop off and pick up at the times that are the most convenient to your schedule - within our hours of operation.

Mothers are welcome to nurse their children at the Rainbow Room's infant care center. Parents can spend a meal or some playtime with their children as their schedules allow. We invite parents to contribute to their children's early years of socialization and education.

Always Be In Touch

We use Brightwheel to stay in touch with our parents. You will know everything your child is doing, when we are doing it with them. Going on a walk? You'll get notifications when we leave and when we get back, in addition to some photos of the fun, if time and safety allow. Is your child struggling with naptime at home, and you want to know how they're napping at ECLC? By logging your children's activities - including naptime, we will communicate with you so you can better understand, participate in, and manage your child's growth.

Once your child is enrolled with us we will send you an invite to join our Brightwheel so we can all stay connected!
