What We Do
Our mission is to ensure university life is accessible to students with disabilities.
Disability Services serves students with permanent and temporary disabilities who attend Central on the Ellensburg campus, online or at any of our other eight University Centers. Our mission is to ensure university life is accessible to students with disabilities.
- We work individually with students identifying barriers and providing accommodations to ensure equal access.
- We educate the campus about the needs of students with disabilities.
- We are a resource for the campus community on disability-related topics.

We do this by:
- Identifying barriers to access and determining accommodations for students with disabilities.
- Collaborating with the campus community to develop accessible and inclusive environments.
- Providing advisement, consultation, and training on disability related matters.
What we believe:
- Variation in ability is a natural part of the human experience.
- Disability is a difference, not a defect.
- Inclusion is a matter of social justice.
- Accommodations are a civil right.
- Creating accessible, inclusive environments is a shared university responsibility.

Disability Services is a part of the Access and Equity team within Student Success.
I was nervous to go in and admit that I needed extra help, however, everyone was extremely kind and willing to give me the time of day I needed. I felt welcome and didn't feel out of place, which doesn't happen very often.
