ASCWU Director for Student Life and Facilities: Briana Silva
The Director of Student Life and Facilities organizes and participates on Advisory Boards with the SURC departments: the Recreation Center, the Student Union, Dining Services, and the Wildcat Shop. They serve as the liaison to the Residence Hall Association, and sits on or appoints students to sit on various committees around campus such as search committees, or capital projects planning.
About Student Union Advisory Board
The Director of Student Life and Facilities serves as the ASCWU Union Board Chairperson. They are a voting member of the Board and is tasked with bringing forth the appointment of all members in the Fall Quarter of each academic year. Those serving as members of the Board will represent on behalf of the student body regarding all issues pertaining to the Student Union Building. About the Wildcat Shop Advisory Board
The Wildcat Shop Advisory Committee was established to better manage products, policies, and services. ASCWU is responsible for appointing one student to the Board to serve as the voting member. In total, there are seven (7) voting members who are all appointed by different CWU entities. Refer to the Wildcat Shop Advisory Board Constitution for more information.
About the Dining Advisory Committee
The Dining Advisory Committee was established to better manage products, policies, and services. The Director of Student Life and Facilities will serve as a voting member and the Chairperson along with six (6) other voting members who are all appointed by various CWU entities. All members are to be appointed at the beginning of the Fall Quarter and will serve during Summer Quarter of the following year. About the University Recreation Advisory Committee
The University Recreation Advisory Committee is tasked with the development and maintenance of programs and services that are beneficial to the student body and the university community. The main purpose of the Committee is to advise the Department of University Recreation on behalf of the needs of the student body and the university community. Programs and services such as Intramural Sports, Outdoor Pursuits & Rentals, Challenge Course, and etc. The Board consist of seven (7) members, one of which will be the Director of Student Life and Facilities participating as the Chairperson. The Chairperson will serve as the "Finance Liasion" which entails for the budget to be managed and updated by them.
