The Department offers an important behavioral science component of the university’s liberal arts curriculum. As part of the General Education program, courses in psychology broaden the student’s knowledge about behavior, cognition, and emotion. Through our major and minor programs, students can develop an understanding of the perspectives, content, and methods of the science and practice of psychology and prepare for graduate study and/or a wide range of related job and careers. We offer the psychology major (45-credit and 60-credit), the psychology minor (30-credits), and graduate degree programs in counseling, school psychology, and experimental psychology. Both the psychology major and minor can be completed in-person or online (restrictions apply). Please use the links on the left sidebar to navigate to specific information about the department.
